Practical Timing Model
Suppose:
30M bullish BOS happened
Price swept buyside liquidity
Then dropped into FVG/demand
Now you WAIT.
You do NOT instantly say: “Okay now bearish because buyside got swept.”
Because smart money often:
sweeps buyside,
taps discount,
then continues upward.
The Exact Time Point You Should Start Observing
The best observation point is:
When price enters the HTF reaction zone AFTER the sweep
Such as:
HTF FVG
Order block
Discount area
Previous breakout origin
That is the moment to start aligning HTF with LTF.
Not before.
Your Sequence Should Be
Step 1 — HTF Structure Shift
Bullish BOS/MSS forms.
Step 2 — Liquidity Sweep Happens
Buyside or sellside taken.
Do nothing yet.
Step 3 — Price Reaches Important HTF Zone
Examples:
30M FVG
demand
imbalance
mitigation block
NOW begin observation.
Step 4 — Drop to 5M
Look for:
seller exhaustion
failed continuation
absorption
displacement candle
Step 5 — Go to 1M
Find:
CHoCH
FVG
sweep
entry trigger
This is where alignment starts.
Why This Works
Liquidity sweeps alone do NOT determine direction.
Sweeps only tell you:
liquidity has been collected.
Direction is determined by:
what price does AFTER the sweep.
That’s the missing piece many traders overlook.
