This might be a bit off the beaten path for a crypto forum, but I know a lot of crypto traders also trade gold as a hedge or for diversification.
I've been testing a trend-following EA designed for XAUUSD that has some solid verified results:
• 568% growth on MQL5-verified live signal • 878 total trades, 64% profit rate • Runs on M15 timeframe on MetaTrader 4/5 • On-chart control panel for manual overrides
What makes it relevant for crypto traders:
— Gold and BTC often move inversely during risk-off events — The time management features let you run it during specific sessions (avoiding overlap with your crypto positions) — It's a completely different asset class — diversification for your algo portfolio
The EA uses martingale recovery, which crypto traders understand well — it's similar to grid bots on Binance. Same risk profile: impressive runs followed by potential liquidation events if the trend reverses hard.
My approach: Running it alongside my crypto bots on a separate small account. If gold is trending, this captures it. When gold chops, I pause it.

Curious if anyone else here runs both crypto bots and forex EAs. How do you balance allocation between the two?
