Hi, Don't worry. I'm prop firm trader, so my risk is well managed and set myself only max loss 3% per day. For profit, my trading hours is fixed each day so no problem.

So yeah, gold seems to have the best spread for lower TFs.
Took my first one on 5m, went well. Although the wick went below the the low of the previous candle. Not sure if it's in the rules.
Ane the candle was a doji. So not too good of a setup.

the wick did go below, but the upper wick gave you the sl , and that previous up wick was bigger ,

also yea the doji isnt ideal , but the trader plays it how he/she sees it at the time

the rules are loose, i believe the trader gains the skill of this strategy over time, imo anyway

seems a few are trading this right now, i do have a discord where there are other only gold traders , but also have a page for wick fills only , i havnt invited anyone yet, but if a few of us are thinking of trading this strategy full time (which i am) maybe it would be beneficial to have a few of us trading together every day in a discord to share ideas etc

this is me putting out a feeler .

ive been trading this since early December, and i have some insights , since early December I've had 2 down days

anyway if anyone was interested maybe ping me a message or reply here , i dunno

Firstly, thanks for the thread. I have been lurking and developing some ideas. I have been trading it, but not in a way yet that I am comfortable with sharing. But there are some significant miles in this idea and I would be keen to be involved in developing the idea.

thinking about a whole new dimension to this

so if this wick fill is a continuation , what if the wick gets filled straight away , which it does sometimes, then could we take the opposite position for a reversal ,

so we would have more trade opportunities and if the strike rate is the same would make this strategy even more powerful.

Something I am currently exploring anyway.

If anyone wants to dwell into the M1 madness i can show you something interesting. I dont trade bellow D1 on real account, but for amusement i created EA for this strategy and tested it on M1. Older generations on this forum remember XMT scalper and this EA based on he Iamhewho strategy for sure have that wibe.

I backtested on the EU and GU pairs, but the EA didn't run.

EUR/USD frequently produces large wicks due to its liquidity and volatility spikes, ideal for this wick-rejection setup (min 20-pip wicks). The 200-pip pullback requirement suits higher timeframes (H1+), where EUR/USD pullbacks often exceed this during London/NY sessions. ADX and spread filters align well with EUR/USD's typical 0.5-3 pip spreads.


AI Recommended Settings

MinWickPips=15-25 (EUR/USD wicks often 10-50 pips on H1)
MinPullbackPips=100-150 (scale down from 200 for tighter pairs)
MaxSpreadPips=2-3 (EUR/USD rarely exceeds)
WorkStartHour=7,
WorkEndHour=17 (London/NY overlap, server time)
ADXLevel=20-25 (EUR/USD trends well above this)

Anyway, I would first suspect that it's a decimal thing.
If Gold goes up 1.0 it's just a dollar on Gold,
But if Euro goes up 1.0 it's like 1.19 to 2.19
