Gold Trend Bullish Target 4770

I have Buy target open and SL 4480

There is a long time position BUY target 6500 or open and SL 4480. If the war between America and Iran will stop, so gold will soon exceed 5000. And I think this war will reach a permanent solution in a few days.

A sell at 4700-05, sl at 4719 and tp at 4620,
the sudden sell yesterday afternoon disrupted the buy to possibly hit 4800 but rather presented a sell to possibly hit somewhere 4615-10 before a possible guy again,
however I will still monitor price action and how certain candles closed because it could decide to stop the sell somewhere 4645-40 but based on what happened yesterday the ideal demand for a buy again is around 4615-10 area.

Let me say this the entry at 4700-4705 is an early and somehow late entry in the sense that the first early sell entry was at 4726-31 like I gave yesterday morning, but I wasn't sure of the sell,
because it could have bought more since it was above 4710 and it too early and a bit risky, because this is definitely not a strong bearish momentum trend but a sell to test lower demand or correct yesterday sudden sell so the best entry would likely be after 12 p.m. UTC yet still,
I don't think price will also move above 4720 or even 4710 but rather a range below 4710 till 12 p.m. UTC before the ideal move start so it still good to hold sells because you never know if it's a beginning of a major sell below 4600 and even 4500 which could start any unexpected moment.

running 22 years of daily macro data (2003–2025, 7,016 trading days, 67 indicators from FRED).

81% of the macro data that financial media obsesses over has NO statistically
meaningful relationship with gold's monthly returns.

THE INFLATION PARADOX — The 35-Month Lag
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The "gold is an inflation hedge" narrative is not wrong — it's DELAYED.
Gold DOES track inflation over decades (level correlation r = 0.898 with CPI).
But a hot CPI print has zero predictive value for the next month's gold move.
Our cross-correlation analysis found that the peak correlation between gold returns
and CPI occurs at a 35-month lag (r = 0.36). Gold's price action today is most
correlated with where CPI was nearly 3 years ago.
Why? When inflation spikes → Fed hikes aggressively → high rates hurt gold
(short-term headwind). Only 24-36 months later, when rates peak and the structural
fiscal damage manifests, does gold price in the full inflation impact.
Case study: Mid-2022, US CPI hit 9.1%. Retail expected gold to surge. Instead it
dropped from ~$2,050 to $1,620 (-19%). "Gold failed." But ~35 months later, gold was
at all-time highs above $2,700 — exactly as the lag model predicted.
The alpha: Don't buy gold on CPI day. Buy gold 24-36 months after a major inflation shock.
What DOES correlate positively is the 5-Year Breakeven Inflation Rate (r = +0.195,
p = 0.0016). Gold responds to inflation expectations embedded in TIPS spreads, not
realized CPI. If you're trading gold around CPI releases, the data says you're
trading noise.

+61.6% gold rally over 24 months.
Caveat: Only 3 distinct inversion episodes in 22 years, so treat as strongly
suggestive rather than proven beyond doubt.

DOLLAR ASYMMETRY — The Convex Hedge

Gold's relationship with the dollar is asymmetric:

Gold captures outsized upside on dollar weakness but limits downside on dollar
strength — a convex property most traders underappreciate.
Warning: The classic "dollar up = gold down" rule fails 42.3% of the time.
Both rose simultaneously during the European Debt Crisis (2010-2012) and COVID
(2020). Don't trade it in isolation.

THE "SAFE HAVEN" MYTH — It's Credit Stress, Not VIX

During the 15 worst VIX spikes in 22 years (GFC, Flash Crash, COVID crash, etc.),
gold's win rate was 46.7% — it fell more often than it rose. Average return: -0.16%.
Gold is NOT a reliable hedge against equity panic.
But it IS a hedge against CREDIT stress:
• Normal HY spreads (<6%): +0.742%/month, ~52% win rate
• Credit panic (HY spreads >6%): +1.491%/month, 60% win rate
Watch high-yield spreads, not VIX, for gold's "fear premium."
During severe panics (Oct 2008, March 2020), gold initially crashes alongside
everything (margin call liquidations), then recovers and rallies. It's a
POST-crash recovery asset, not a real-time crash hedge.

Long-term debasement scorecard: M2 grew +258.5% (2003-2025). Gold rose +711.9%.
Gold outpaced money printing by 2.75x.

(Cyprus bailout panic).
No stop-loss = playing Russian roulette with these tail risks on any leveraged

The traditional "gold rises when real rates are negative" framework collapsed in
2022–2024. Gold hit all-time highs above $2,700 while real rates were at multi-year
highs. The driver: record central bank buying (PBoC, RBI, and other non-Western
central banks) that temporarily overpowered the historical relationship. This may
represent a structural regime shift driven by de-dollarization.
Gold's best average monthly returns (+1.93%) actually occurred during HIGH real
rate periods (>2%) — not negative rates. Context matters: these periods overlap
with the 2023-2024 central bank buying wave.

News you could decide not to trade are ; FOMC news with economic projection and press conference, NFP , CPI and maybe JOLTS , the rest of the news are okay to trade
