i think the fifth trade was a mistake, if you read topic, you can see that entry on/after big volatile candles not recommend

Hi, i wouldnt say the entries are bad, but it all may be because of todays US holiday, and also the trades are taken before London open(I personally dont trade outside of London and NY, i found that nova gives more false signals outside them)

Also the two trades after your 11:16 are not that great, the problem i see with the first one is that the big move already happened and the signal is on a big impulse candle, the second trade is not that smart to take because weve seen a rejection from 3341.8 level so basically just PA is bad.

And the three trades that lost in a row may have been avoided just by looking at previous price levels, we were at previous signifacnt level

This would have been a good trade if somebody caught it, nice ema flip, retest of the previous level(in line with break and retest of a range), and clean nova signal

I have evaluated and what I have found is that :-
We would never know when market will start to form a range , so after hitting 2 Stop losses , It is my opinion that we should wait for a nova signal after the break of recent structure of m1 so that new momentum and price structure formation probability is increased.

I am sure we need to deal these sort of situations with some kind of tactic to avoid losses because in ranges , too many frequent SL might occur.
(also adding entry only after previous entry being closed or at least breakeven to avoid stop losses.)

what you guyz suggest?

Happy 4th July for those who celebrate it. Today is a no trade day if you didn't notice already as it's a bank Holiday in the US.

I can see there has been what looks like a good chat going... So keep it up. The aim here is for everyone to input make discoveries together.

Will reply to any messages shortly. I have just been enjoying the day out as the weather is lovely here in the UK at the moment and it's Friday. So I encourage you all to get some down time and to get ready for Monday.

I'll also be active over the weekend to help with any questions and a review to the week. Maybe I can go over what I traded and why.

Hi Bud, I have marked up your entries

I like to enter on the open of the 3rd candle not the 2nd candle which is where you have marked.

However, the entries were still fine eitherway. So there were 4 wins and 1 loss that I would have taken for 7R total (if targetted 2R each)

After the first loss I would have still taken the one after that won because it was deeper into the moving averages which is where the next signal should be strong enough to break the high.

2R was hit extremely fast but the overall move wasnt strong enough to start breaking back above the last highs and therefore price would be more likely to reverse so I would sit on the sidelines and wait to see what is coming next.

This is where I'd mark out the next high and low to be broken before I start looking at new nova entries making sure to wait for a proper EMA twist in the direction of the HTF. It could be 5M, 15M or H1 - whichever you choose.

If the HTF is uptrend then it would be silly to stay in nova sell signals for very long.

I have shown yours below and mine for comparison.

Also the oanda broker has different volume to IC markets which I base my trades off.

Great example buddy! now you can gain more RR by targetting the old low price will be drawn to. Not sure how far it did go down and what was below as I haven't been monitoring today.

I have noticed there are 2 entries as far as i understand. Any reason why u didn't take the 2nd entry ? Thank you.

Nice question. I guess , adding entry before previous trade being closed or at least breakeven is not wise because I believe avoiding losses should be preferred.

It's been a long time since I stopped trading because I blew my accounts many times.
I backtested Nova, Monday 30/6, from London open to New York close.
My entry rules are:
1M TF, candle above/under 200EMA, valid Nova signals (volume, signal line, background)
If there is green => black => green backgr for example, I entry when there is green backgr again (reentry) without considering the volume; same with sell
RR 1:2, move to BE when reach 1:1, SL nearest swing

I got around 15 - 23RR, which is a really nice result. I will keep following this system and calibrate it to the greatest condition. Anyway the system is really dope since I need only 5RR to call it a day.

Thanks xkwisit2001, greatest system which I have ever seen. Making RR without really confusing with order block, IPDA....

Hi, idk if u are gonna take it from me but i think since the start of the thread i got a hang of xkwisit's trading, in my opinion he didnt take it bcs of the decreasing volume on the second histo bar, he said many times and showed that he doesnt take trades with decreasing volume that much bcs its lower probability that they'll work

As for stacking trades, it is useful but u gotta be careful with what trades u stack, it has worked for me many times. But this is all about discretion, so study the trades from past and look how good looking stacked trades were formed.

My broker (IC) has very low spreads so I don't tend to have any issues there. However, you need to know what times best to trade with your broker to make sure you don't have spread issues.

If there is anyone using higher spread brokers you can switch to M5 instead but take the trades on the M1 targeting the 2:1 for the M5. That way you'll take more RR per trade on the M1.

Also always a good idea to incorporate spread in every trade taken.

Regarding Friday ( I know it was a no trading day, just checking the system) , i checked every trade, it was a breakeven day.
One more thing, I found that tiny breath area for SL could prevent some stop losses.
I have little confusion about signal line for which I request @xkwisit2001 to kindly guide :-
Do volume bar needs to cross the signal line for a valid trade or just signal line needs to cross the 0 level to make it a valid trade signal.
