As you can see the run up is now totally erased and we can expect a new turn upward.

The effect of the daily doji is not dead yet and a break of 3356 will put new life in the up trend.

The 3rd indicator (HMA) I use, which is part of the holy grail system, confirms the move up is still alive.

Sell XAUUSD

Trading in a trend: Will do it in steps, one step per post. We use M30 as an example:

Look where the black lines point to, the bottom one points to where the red bar has closed which is also where yellow will start moving from. As you can see the trajectory is "relatively" steep up to the close of the next candle but not steep enough; coming to the next candle you can see the trajectory gets significantly steeper
which is a prerequisite, and this is where the second black line points to. The result is a straight line (a slight bend on the middle candle going for the next candle is a bonus as long as it bends upward). So now we have 3 points of interest; first one the starting point, second one first high and third one second high.
This is what it looks like:

Still on the same chart we switch to M15 and adjust the last black line to match where M30 closed.

As you can see M15 made a flip sideways which we have to sit out, as we wait to see what M15's next move is going to be. As you can see it turns up sharply from that flat move to a strong and sharp move upward.

You could have well asked why it was necessary to go down to lower TFs when M30 was already set to go? It's all about getting to a safe point of entry with the least risk of a pullback.

So, to sum up:

Steep yellow line covering a low and two highs. Wait for a flop to the right side and trade when a sharp push up sets in.

Or you can take a short cut; go directly to where you see a sideways flip to the right; plenty of them all the time.

A quicker way to spot them is to look where the approach to the line is flattish for both yellow and blue.
