Investing.com is usually very reliable because of live feeds.

Their Gold Futures (CFD) M5 chart ended at 3330.36, but on Gold Futures it ended at 3298.40. So I guess the latter is the real thing. The expectation of a drop then was indeed correct?

and yep, indeed watching the us 30yr bond on monday, if bond market starts falling (break of 4.7% level), gotta watch out for gold.
imo, just gotta wait either 3260 or 3389 breaks but ofc there's many good pips in between to catch but can't but one can't just dwell on them. consolidation can be deadly.

you're looking at 1M chart for 1 broker, if there was a price print that mean a trade was made, does not matter if it's new or closing.
my best guess, it was a panicked trader who waited for the last minute to close his trade at market price when the spread was high.

Clearly not reliable this Investing.com lot, scammers it seems. There was no sudden drop in the last minutes on Friday as our friend Fleischbobo had observed.
