I am not saying I am happy with the spreads but have a look at a broker spread comparison website. Spreads are bad across the board. Even LMAX spreads are horrible. Seems it isn't just Oanda right now.

Today is US holiday which means NY bankers are drinking heavily = liquidity is low = higher spreads across the board.

How long do bank wire deposits actually take? I was under the impression that if I deposited well before 5pm ET it would be credited in the same day. Always used paypal in the past because it takes less than an hour, but the fee really adds up.

Officially, 3-5 days.

From experience, I've found it takes 2-3 days.

Hi guys,

could anyone explain to me how I set up the one click trading properly? For example on EUR/USD I'd like to have a 20 pip SL and 0,25% equity risk on every trade. However, when I type in the information there is no SL set when I open a trade.
What am I doing wrong?

what you're describing is not one click trading. one click trading is basically you click the button buy/sell and your order will be processed, you do not have to click the 'new order' button, then enter lot size, and so on, then execute. as for setting default stop loss and take profit levels for all trades, i believe you will have to use an EA for that. the trailingstop ea works just fine. the there's a parameter in the trailing stop ea that basically allows you to trail even when the trade isn't in profit believe it's something like 'trail profit only'. set that to false and you'll be fine. the other parameter is the 'profit target' which is the same as the take profit level.

The mt4 server 69.31.37.100:443 is not sending any data to my
client. A ping to your servers also times out.

I am on a 2meg adsl line in South-Africa and everything else is working streaming video browsing etc.

A traceroute to 69.31.37.100 times out after 30 hops, last hop is
69.31.95.153, this is hop nr.12

Anybody else tracert to Oanda's servers timing out after 12 hops and no pings getting through? The more I explained to their support staff that if a tracert to their servers
times out after 12 hops, that the problem is on their side, the more they insist that it isnt't

Now what?

they are limiting trade data to 30 days and I have lost my years results when I tried to adjust FF explorer! How stupid is that.Also my fxbook shows two positions that I never open running indefinitely skewing the results.Damn you.

Hi Slam.dunk,

If you are running linux you should install oracle java on it. The open jre wouldn't launch FxTrade.

My question probably had a mention here already, but I can't really go back through all the 180 pages to look for an answer. So here it is :

Does Oanda have facilities for Money Managers. I know for sure they cater to retail traders and also as LPs to full fledged institutions, but do they cater to those of us who are in between ?

How long does it take for a $10,000+ check deposit to be approved? I am guessing it takes longer than a check under 5 figures? Please only respond to this if you're speaking from personal experience. I have been waiting on this since Tuesday.
