It might be right to say that this year, the cliché "sell the news, buy the rumour" will be more appealing to me as a trader. The USD will get a bit stronger before it gets weaker again

I think you might have to wait and re-check. Gold closed below 2033 on last H4 candle. It'll probably still go down more towards 2010/2020 zone before we see an upward reversal
