not all trades are winners — Thought I would post this as it may be useful. My entry was close to S1 but not long after bouncing from it, hence I was confident it would run back thro. I was eventually stopped out -5. Interestingly my WP was at ...

EURUSD — Right. ForexFactory now seems to have speeded up so attached is todays EURUSD chart. I admit the charts look too busy but they arent difficult to read because most of the lines are (Acumens) pivots & psychs. What I really like is the ...

NZDUSD — Blimey. Thread is quiet. This week has been much better for trading. Trends are easier! Anyway, thought I would attach this as its a currency that you guys dont trade much if I remember correctly. Dont ignore it, as there have been a ...

apologies to EV for the busy chart, but Ive attached it anyway. Its surprising how often T/Ls still influence several days later.

Its still in a rising channel on the 1hr. 4hr candles indicate it may go down but its bounced off 13 ema, and hovering around 38% daily fib. Unclear to me.

just got back in. I see it went down to S1 - 90 odd point profit - there we go, ADR now 202. However, not so easy to keep in play as oil moves so fast. Youve got to take profits while they are there. Subsequently 2 trades that could have been taken ...

EJ — I decided not to take this one, being cautious. The daily open had been s/r all day and was a major area yesterday. Trade was against the trend & I also suspected that the lower T/L would have a matching upper line. So, for me the upside ...

I know what you are saying. I dont think my explanation was thought through enough, because I do use T/L a lot & in retrospect when its a "simple" flag/pennant etc as EV explained, then thats when you need to dive in. The pic below hopefully ...

GU — Hitting lower T/L on 15 min. Yes. I also have the long term T/L that was at 6142 ish . Waiting a bit longer. See below

EJ flag — nice EV style setup on EJ that I missed. Psych 112.00 & 23.6% fib of Fridays range up to 62% fib of long term (Oct) high at 112.28 (next psych area).

other pairs — whilst looking at GU (& FTSE & gold in my case) Ive just missed good moves in EJ & EU. Grrrr! EU was a gift following a hammer, see below. It flew up thro DP & psychs too. There was another gift following Asian session selling at ...

Longer t/f — Take a look over a longer weekly t/f and also the monthly which I have attached. Its a different picture re the HnS, but the trend is down as you will see, and a recent fib on the weekly has hit 76%, so the chances are, I think, ...

trendline — I was hoping daily pivot and trendine confluence were going to be support for a buy but it dropped beneath. However 34ema also in confluence with lower (albeit weak) trend line may see some reaction. Apologies for untidy chart as I ...

as promised. Check out the pa around psychs (set for the moment at **00, 50, 80/20), PPs fib and TL. 15 min image taken much earlier, so on 5 min you can see full extent of the fall. I will be watching now with a much keener intraday eye, rather ...

HL/LH — Having just reviewed the 5 min chart, lo & behold. The 200 pip move dropped in nice steps. Gotta move quicker than forex. Hope this is indicative of future trades!

update — I had a quick run through using the above indi. The attached 15 min chart is on FXCM which uses spot prices rather than futures, and shows todays oil pa and you can see this at pivots & psychs (I havent back-tested to determine how ...

Psychs, fibs, PPs & trendlines — As stated earlier, I learned last year not to trade on non-farm days, so as I happen to be stranded at home today, thought I would review the action. For anyone not convinced by the relevance of this ...

more fibs — Thanks Chow I found it interesting so have stayed doing some more analysis. Oops. Must get to work shortly. I rushed my earlier chart and put the fib in upside down. Ive now reset it accurately. Price as you will see on the 5 min ...
