What I've yet to see is whether FXCM's perfidy ended some time after 2014 or continues until February 17, when they're finally shut down. Anyone know? dwt

Was your positive slippage with FXCM? In any case, congratulations. dwt

We had what could have been another FX massacre this morning at 0011 ET in the GBP pairs: an apparent "instantaneous" 180 pip step change in GBPJPY, for instance. Any perspectives from your side of the table? Thanks.

Udine, Was your pending entry order in place at the London open, or do you give the market a couple minutes to settle, then enter your order? Thanks for a great thread. dwt51

With a 1.5 pip spread, my platform went short GJ 26 seconds after the London open and was stopped out just 3 minutes later. Anyone else experience the same? Hopefully those who stalled until a minute or two after the open will have better luck. dwt51

FWIW (and no, I'm not a shill for MSFT) Microsoft is running a promotion now, and for $40US you can upgrade from WinXP, Vista, or Win7 to Win8 Pro (assuming your PC is compatible, which they will happily test for you). Seemed like a deal to me, as ...

A plug for IB — I would agree with Marv on two points: No one should consider Gain Capital (or forex.com, or whatever they're calling themselves). They've received plenty of bad press, and been cited by the CFTC for their practices. While not ...

I'm with you, Dopey. The Oanda numbers are such an outlier. That isn't to say I'm accusing them of anything misleading. I only suspect that the reporting process was poorly defined. For all we know, Oanda are as surprised as everyone else that their ...

Jason, Thanks very much. You and your team certainly get an A+ for responsiveness. I've not yet tried Strategy Trader, but with this functionality I'll definitely give it a whirl. Regards. dwt

Jason, Thanks for the prompt response. This critical feature can't be introduced too soon for me. It must also be costing FXCM, as no one in his right mind would put in an order unless he were sitting in front of his PC, knowing that his position ...
