I'm bringing this thread back to life to see if anyone has still tried reverse-straddle news spike fade trading? Who would be willing to create an EA that modifies straddling limit orders so that they are 5 pips away from whatever market price moves ...

buy the rumor, sell the news....old school. Usually, unless it's a bold statement, FOMC spike retraces back to before news price before really moving, especially with a news conference.

the stupid thing about this FOMC, if they use "patience" or similar wording that causes EUR to go up, is next FOMC we'll be doing this all over again because ECB is still doing QE and FED is still trying to look at raising interest rates, so parity ...

Probably just a squeeze to get a better price to short EUR, or buy UJ post FOMC. Plus it's completing a harmonic pattern, butterfly.

Yeah, you USED to have $2800. 1 lot is $100 per $1 move. $10 move= $1000 loss. The fact you're so defensive and blaming the market for your loss makes the case against you doubled down.
