I understand. I'm getting stopped out a little too often for my liking, that's why I like to hear how others do it, thanks!

What I meant to ask was what happens to the SL when you add trades? Such as the previous sell trades you just closed, if it suddenly went up against you, would you just place current trades at breakeven? Or just keep the original SL (which means a ...

I always like seeing these 'add on to winners / retest support' type of strategies as you can accumulate large winnings. But what would happen if price went against you? Do you still keep the original SL or you lower it when you add on new trades? ...

Is there a "Like this Journal"? I dunno this website very well...I just gave you a like for this post instead. Keep it up!

Ohhhhhhhh. I see, didn't expect that. Thanks!

Can someone clarify why Dax is opened for trading? It's supposed to be holiday, correct? There was even a spike in price and volume during DAX, behaving like any other work day. FTSE is clearly closed though.

Breakout / Retest / SR Flip / whatever name you wanna use. From H4. Pretty tight SL though. Not sure if it should be moved down more.

Hi KnifeS2, Didn't know you started a new trading journal. So far it looks pretty impressive, great job! I'm a little curious if you're going to continue your previous "High Yield Grid Manual Strategy"? I recall (from my perspective) you profited ...

No no no no no....no way you're at fault here. You showing your trades is fantastic, not just for me but probably for a bunch of others here! If anything, being in 'the deep end and swim yourself out' so to speak is a very good way of learning. I ...

So buys finally hit. Hedging DONE!!! Added more additional [3 buy stops] at (12) (13) (14) as price went up. All hit. I was thinking, should I have placed TP at (14) where resistance is? But then I thought, make TP easy to reach and get this trade ...

I deleted [2 sell] at the bottom (2) and left the remaining on - moved original TP at (10) further up in the hopes it's easier to hit. Thought it'd be an UP day today for DE40, guess I was wrong. Anyways updated TP for all sells got hit. Now waiting ...

Oh I get what you mean now. Yea I think I was in profits before the hedge started getting messy. Thinking about it now, maybe I should limit the amount of open trades and put an ultimate 'stoploss' to close down my floating losses before it got ...

Overall loss in dollars. But gains in pips. Because smallest lot size is 0.01 for EU and GU versus 1.00 lot for DE40. I guess I could even out the pips per dollar amount throughout my entire trades to standardise my hedge wins. Never really thought ...

Opened trades = -$1184.06. Closed trades = +$368.72. If I close all open trades = net LOSS -$815.34 Net loss mainly because I had [2 sells] at the very bottom but kept opening [1 buy] as my hedge. Then there were times where I had no [buy] opened in ...

I was thinking about that ... At first adding on sells seemed like nothing. Then before I knew it I had 6 - 8 sell trades opened lol.

Anyone help me? I've been *DEMO* hedging with success most of the time - trades would open and close for a few hours which was easy to manage. Then came DE40, where I am struggling to unhedge sells at the bottom. Added more sells in hopes to get ...

I take it you only add-on trades (buy / sell) based off intuition? For me it's if market keeps going up, then buy only and leave sell trades behind. Only if market starts retracing then sell only. Then I'll have buys at the top and sells at the ...

Hmm... Interesting take on opening percentage hedge here. I never quite did that before, only backtested it very briefly. I thought that was semi martingale but thinking about it more.... It probably isn't. As in if price were to bounce up and down ...

Great job! Alternate scenario: after your second sell, what if price went further up? What would you do? Open 2 buys or sell more? Also your previous post you were up $20.89 but also -$21.07. Was that due to gaps in between your Buys and TP? As in ...

To WizardTrade, I got a little confused because your first post said "tear this strategy down", which I thought you meant "it's bad" lol. Anyways interesting write-up. I did demo this and then traded it live in 0.01 lot sizes. The amount lost was ...
