Hi Steviet, please excuse my commenting in your thread. It is not about 'n' years of growth, it is about knowing why you are winning, and understanding your own weaknesses. IMHO you only reach that understanding by doing it; there is no ...

Somewhere back up the thread you will find a post from me about how close the PA came to one of my SLs, like about half a pip, and I went on to close in profit. I believe this broker does not stop-hunt. ....that is not the same as having a crap feed ...

Chill Out — This is not a reply to Karl's post, just my own input. There is quite a lot of un-necessary fear and mud-slinging going on in this thread. I can entirely understand the concerns so here is my experienced view on the ...

Agreed. Since they are stating publicly that they are re-imbursing clients who were stopped-out that is honest and the best they can do.

I think it is the metal broker hunting the stops. The free charts on Daily FX do not have the spikes. Also I believe Duka would not do this - especially since they are reading this thread. It is a shame but I think it means you cannot trade metals ...

I have not noticed this, however there is obviously some strangeness in the PA sometimes. What makes me feel comfortable still is that when you look back in the charts for UsdChf, for instance, you can still find the price anomaly. If they were ...

I agree. Perhaps Fresh1 would post a little more explanation, like time of day, which day, how big was the position?

It could be that CC deposits are not allowed in Swiss jurisdiction. It could be that registration rules for accounts are different with EU broker. It could be that EU subsidiary becomes market maker with Swiss liquidity provider......

There is no reason to be unhappy about the 'bank' status, and there are at least two reasons to be happy about it. First the regulations in Switzerland changed and for Duka the choice was be a bank or cease trading. No contest really. Second the ...

First, I wouldn't worry about your stops being on the Duka server, in my experience the price can shave overhead (or below for short positions) without taking your stop. My closest pass so far has been half a pip on a 50k position to eventually win ...

Definitely the school on Baby Pips is worth a read, as numbnuts suggested. The lot system is a convenient way of buying currency. You open a position for a number of lots in, for example, EurUsd. What that means is that your broker swaps a load of ...

I agree with most of this. My favourite mistake is to enter too early; and on the occasion when I was feeling brave I sat out the swings, looked at the charts, and waited for the price to come back to me. It took a week, and I finished up 30 pips (@ ...

"way less spikes during low liquidity" - noticed this also. In fact it makes such a huge difference after my previous brokers.

To all Newbies reading this thread..... — Following is the most valid reason for using a stoploss that you will find! ... and as someone else wrote, when the BoJ calls up Warren Buffet and asks him to sell a trillion Yen on their behalf - you ...

16th March @ 21:20 GMT and no I was not (yet) expecting to be in a position. I accept your evidence, I also read a few of your other words of praise for JForex in other posts. My precis of your view of JForex is that it is 'dim'. That is British for ...

Carl Vosp acknowledged — Ok, I couldn't edit my original so here is some more expansion. Things which have improved:- - it loads more quickly - it loads data and paints a chart more quickly - it seems to do things more quickly I am gradually ...

I can't resist a good troll.... Thanks for the enlightenment, are you sure its not Union Bank of Sweden ? ...and that other Swedish export (no not ABBA), does that mean the tourists from Sweden can't get visas anymore?

Well, just because USD is not one side of a pair does not make it an exotic cross. On my live platform I have 32 pairs made up from USD, EUR, JPY, AUD, GBP, NZD, CHF, CAD, NOK and SEK. The last two are scandinavian currencies - which seems perfectly ...
