Some brokers put the sound folder in a different place. Right click on the broker MT4 icon and select Properties. Then Open File Location button. That is where the sound folder is with FXCM on my platform. On other brokers it is part of the Data ...

How about having a field for candle type or count the number of engulfed candles for the size of the 0 candle. so instead of 111110 it can be looked at as 1111100000 because it engulfed 5 bars. A different candle might become 000111 instead of 0001 ...

I do not know if mLaden is giving up but I am. The new builds have become more hassle than they are worth. Especially when a bug fix causes older bugs to resurface. My install programs no longer work due to the folder structure changes. All of these ...

I zoomed in on your chart and I see an "i" at the end of the symbol name, similar to the m with IBFX. Enter the letter i without quotes in the symbol_suffix input. Also change All_Bars from 1000 to what number you want like 300 or ... When time ...

Hayseed, Thanks for the links. I was looking at coding a dashboard (heatmap) myself. I have tested already with momentum supplied by MT4 and the formula from TASC works much better. I will look at the source code version to see how the code compares ...

The resulting tree can then be written to sql or excel for further analysis. I do my own as I still have a library in C and asm I wrote when in college and over the years on the job. The code still compiles and runs with no problems after over 30 ...

Welcome, we have a similar background in a way as your career was a piece of mine. I did a lot with real time processing, multi tasking OS on 8 bit back in the 80's. I am currently starting development of a type of neural net similar to one I did in ...

This is one of the problems with too many programmers coding versions independantly. I posted a version years ago, 4.1 or earlier, that had inputs for suffix and prefix so the "m" from IBFX only needs to be entered as the suffix. For some reason ...

Yes, ZigZagHeight is on my list and will be stored as a percentage of adr as well as pips. I am also looking at different settings for zigzag in an earlier phase to see if that helps as well. Larger ZigZags are made up of smaller ZigZags, even on ...

MrC thanks for the link. It might actually keep me around until Meta%$%$ decides to not allow anything before build 600 as they did with build 509. That caused be to waste a week updating everything on my website. If it happens again I am DEFINITELY ...

I plan on doing this in steps as described in the thread, the Fib piece will be applied later to see if it helps. From my math background I have found Fibs at work in many areas, even traffic flow studies. Fibs also work well combined with fractal ...

Been busy with other projects and the nightmare of the new build so have not started yet. One thing I am considering is keeping track of the Fib value since last zigzag or fractal as a possible edge in predicting next bar. How often is there a ...

Thanks David, I already tried that to no avail. There is something in the Registry that is causing a problem. I solved it by copying all include files into the main code. The only reason I need build 509 is because I have minute data for all pairs ...
