this is bad news for those of us who look at L2 and base their algos (partially) on it. It means we'll see half as far from the current price than before. Is anyone aware of a better DAX feed where you can get the total book (like you can in ES) ...

Thank you. I'm not a professional skipper, but perhaps I qualify The west side of Corsica is in the cards. If I make it close enough, I'll launch you a PM. Happy boating tomorrow. I'll have to wait for the week end.

I think we're saying similar things. I never give up too. When I say "pause" it means closing / reducing the losing position substantially, for the time necessary: Few minutes, hours, some time one-two days. There's no point in carrying a huge ...

I feel like a dinosaur here. Never trade on laptop. Never trade in an internet café. Opening my account on untrusted computers? It's crazy. Perhaps I'm paranoid, but I only trade on dedicated desktop computers or my own leased servers in a web farm ...

Yes, autopsy is much easier than saving the patient! But, we learn from autopsies a lot more than when operating on a live patient. Anyway, I feel you friend. I've been in your situation many times. You fought heroically and were rewarded, this ...

Unexpected and wide moves on a daily basis are often recovered some days after. There are only few examples where this is not true, usually when there is a very fundamental and abrupt change of the fundamentals (GFC, the Covid lock-down etc). so, a ...

What worries me is that this was a DAX only move (the last coupe of hours). The ES stayed mostly still. So, *if* it comes down the dax could capitulate.

Off course. Delay until the virus is defeated, so he can win the election for sure. In the same style as the worst dictatorships in Africa!

DAX fragility took all of us by surprise. I was not expecting 500, let alone 4xx. This was a snowball effect for sure. There were signs yesterday that DAX was a little decoupled by the rest, but I did not give them enough importance to report. Good ...

It's more the ES than the FTSE (imho). First key level 3220 reached. Below is a major 3215 and the abyss 3200. ES off course not leading, but an indication of levels reached in the mornings

I hope they're done. But it's not when they expire. It's the margin you'll require if they go down another 500-600 points to test 12K in a few days. the more you hold, the more risk you take (I'm sure you know that already).

My state of mind is not great these days so I might be very light and just observe for most of the day and rest of the week. But, if you expect the moves, you can plan for them. It's worse if you're forced to increase your size before vol expands. ...
