I'm creating a primitive simulator in C++. The goal is for people to use it and to discover the results themselves. Even without spread/fees eating into the balance, it should convince people in a concrete way why martingale doesn't work.

Leverage is overhyped and really irrelevant if you're managing your risk correctly. I can create half a percent of risk with a high or low leverage account.

1% is bigger than you think it is, it's only a matter of time until a big fundamental move wipes you. I actually only trade half a percent and my trade strategy is much less risky.

I look for order flow in consolidation patterns but am extremely picky about the areas I buy and sell at. Always minimal stop losses (where I believe institutional buying and selling was limited to) and plenty of losers - doesn't phase me anymore ...

Lower time frame order flow is showing some convincing signs of some short action today, but the one minute chart isn't really much of an indicator past the near future. Still holding my long until I see some larger orders being filled against it.
