Thank you for the helpful replies folks According to Baby Pips, when Net Asset Value (or Equity) is less than/equal to Used Margin, it's MC time! Now, that makes sense to me... But (correct me if I'm wrong), Oanda lets your Net Asset Value drop ...

I see... So as a general rule, I should avoid trading on days when there is a holiday in the UK or US, or both! What about holidays in Japan, Eurozone etc? Do I still trade but avoid JPY and EUR? Regards, Jim
