thanks for the feedback, I will check it out! Is a fix API connection similar to a dedicated server? I did some research and spoke to my vps provider and they said the next step up is a dedicated line but obviously that comes at a cost

yeah sorry I meant decrease..i am using a vps now with a ping of 1-2ms which seems to help a little when trading the news

using a vps will speed up execution time. I myself have issues with order speed as I was primary trading the news. a vps helped as its based in new York city and I'm in Australia.

you make a good point. why would you pay for a service when you can get a newswire through fxpro free of charge. awesome cheers ill check out news impact data, and I think ill give it a miss on 24k a year Bloomberg terminal haha.

thanks for your input again! is that something similar to a VPS? I looked on fxpro and they have a vps log in that can execute orders in 1-5ms opposed to 300-400ms of a server, by having a server at their execution point like you mentioned.

well taking a trade that gives you 10pips take profit with a 5 pip stop loss is a 2-1 risk to reward.. if you risk 1% per trade that's 2% per day. 2% consistently will make a lot of money for you..especially if you had a 100k plus account
