Green_David - I don't use the 5 sec time frame. I make decision to go long on 5 and 15 min trend. Look to 1 min, and occasionally 30 sec to try to time entry and exit points. Agree 5 sec is too tight. Those waves are just noise to higher timeframes.

bdog - I'm in the same boat as you. My timeframe is from 9:00 - 11:00 PM eastern time. Things seem to move quite slowly at times. Seems like it can take a while just to get back the spreads. And if you price moves in the opposite direction, well, ...

The emotions can be subtle where it's hard to see that is what is happening. I'll keep in mind your trading time split, since I have 2 hours per day for this also.

Like your thinking about guilt for a short war yesterday. I had similar thoughts in that I had 2 hours to trade, and I was going to trade for 2 hours. Wasted opportunities when they presented themselves b/c I did not want to quit early!
