Mike or Jim — I've been following this thread for 3 years and have finally found success with forex. The fastest way I found to learn this stuff was by going to Jim's profile and pulling up only his posts that have attachments. I have gone ...

This "crisis" as the media wants everyone to believe, will be solved before the death bell tolls. It's just a bunch of b.s., but what did everyone who voted for a man with little more political experience than the average american man expect? Our ...

Really? That's much less than I'm paying. If I may ask, who do you use for your broker? I'm with FXCM. I've been having trouble with losses piling up when I open and close the basket several times during whipsaws.

Kos & dryclean, I'm just curious as to how much you're down when you initially open your basket trades. When I open mine, I start out around -70 pips. Is that a general area for you guys, too? I'm looking into different forex brokers, so just ...

Dryclean — You have really been knocking it out this week, dryclean! If I may ask, what parameters are you using for entry and exit? Also, what is the time frame you have found to be most profitable? I have been watching my charts like a hawk ...

Thanks Kos — I went back into the global variables / history and cleaned all of it up. Charts look good now. Thank you.

Help request — Can anyone try to explain to me what I'm doing to cause my charts to look this way? I don't know if it's my settings, or what? I put the heiken ashi smoothed on this 5 minute chart, then type "15" into the input space on the ...

Thank you — I have dabbled in this method for a while, but have never been able to make consistent profits. The problem is, those that have figured out the best way to utilize basket trading, have seemed to leave the thread. Thank you, Kos, ...

Kosomolate — From looking at those 2 charts you posted, what was your reasoning for entering and exiting in those spots? Did you use one indicator, or multiple? Thank you and congrats on a good week, thus far!

I'm with you, Idash, as I found the basket to be in a range all week. No one side ever seemed to take hold for an extended period of time. I congratulate you, Texmade, on such a solid week, but how in the world did you do it?? Any amount of analysis ...

I restart my profitcalc every sunday, but I was unable to open this one until Monday. Anyway, you can see how much money this has made by simply going all long on Monday. The red line is the "long" profit line and the white line is the "short" ...

I've been following this system since July of 2009 and must admit this is the first time I've begun to make any solid progress on it. The hardest part that I have found is simply determining exact entry and exit points. This way of trading can make ...

Travpip — Thanks for the link, Travpip. Very informative.

Thank you — I have looked over everything you've posted, but think I may have been missing the forest for the trees, so to speak. Anyway, I appreciate your response and breakdown of the trading situation. You make very good points, thus making ...

Recent charts — Hi, Greg, I've been following your thread for a while and trying to learn how you trade by basically reverse engineering your charts and trade times. I know you don't give all of the details on how you trade due to time ...

Jey — Did you go long immediately when price moved above previous resistance, or did you wait for the bar to close above it, then retrace to enter?
- manperm replied Jun 22, 2010
USDCHF — I've noticed that often times during a retracement, price will touch the 61.8 fib, then resume the greater trend. I'm looking at shorting the close with a target at 61.8 fib, which also confluences with previous ppz and the 150 sma.

USDCHF — Any thoughts on this pair? It looks to be a good setup if the current bar closes as an IB, as it would be below 50 fib, daily pivot, and round #. Looks like it should slide down to 61.8 fib, which is just above previous s/r.

I'm glad you said that, Mike, because that's where I'd like to play it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't too far behind the learning curve. And, Dan, remember this: Nietzsche once said, "he who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand ...

One more question Mike: If AUDNZD played out exactly as you've laid it out, what would you look for when seeking an entry? Basically, would you look for pa at your first projected bounce off the lower trend line, or would you wait for it to bounce ...
