If this pattern is found at a support or resistance area then it 'could' be a good point to go the other way. Otherwise, don't just take these signals as entries.

If you really want to trade forex then go with OandA. Trade really small amounts (0.1% per trade = $2 risk per trade) that way you shouldnt lose too much and you can trade with real money. If you actually do good then you will make money - doesn't ...

Breakouts — I like to see tight sideways range then straddle with 10pip SL. I'll take re-entries if stopped out. After the sideways action breakouts do well. I use the grid indicator (set at 10pip intervals) to look for the ranging.

Great idea and great thread. This could also be thought of as a kind of "Dynamic Price Channel" as the count tells you which length price channel has been broken.

I think it depends on your type of trading as to which one you should pick. I have faced this dilemma many times myself and I think it depends on your trading system. If you go with the set TP then you can easily work out your risk, reward, win rate ...

Range broken (4860 - 4820)... Support becomes resistance (4820) ... nice pullback... then run down to 4760 (next level of r/s). Take Profit. . . too many drinks by now... time to crash out... cheers ppl. Good Pippin to all!...
