Honestly there were so many flaws in this post that I don't quite know where to begin. What? This would mean that your take profit is also aiming to be 1 pip. If you were risking 1% of your capital at a 1:1 risk reward, you would also be aiming to ...

There are several different places you can begin to learn technical analysis. The first would be right here, on forex factory. By reading member's posts and browsing through some of the trading journals and seeing examples. Another common one would ...

Hello all. Sadly it seems we have reached my final 'official' post. But let us not dwell upon that now, I shall get started. A typical trade life-cycle This is just to give you a rough idea of the different stages that any single trade may be in at ...

Good evening to you all. It's good to see some healthy debate. Naturally this system isn't for everyone, and it doesn't have to be. The concerns presented here are all very valid, and perfectly good reasons why this may not be suited to some. I can ...

You have raised some interesting points. Thankyou for your input. a)I request that you open a monthly chart of your favourite pair. Draw 2 lines, 1,000 pips apart. See the distance? That is all you need to catch. I have attached a chart of EURUSD. ...

A beautiful comparison. I can also attest to the point you made about the large role that experience plays in a physician's decisions. Most of the times the consultants make decisions that seem completely irrational to me and I cannot find the ...

I trade through an ECN. My broker does not take the opposite side of my trades. Fez

Appreciate your kind words. I usually cash in my largest position, with the next one I cash in being my smallest position. By smallest I mean anything over 1:5 or so r:r, anything smaller and I don't even count it as a position. My reasoning here is ...

Thankyou for your questions 1) I cannot say I have ever tried another stoploss size, with this method anyway. It has been what worked for me and I have the "If it ain't broke" mentality. Call me naive but I've just stuck with what has worked, ...

It is very encouraging to see that even in this baby stage of your account you are already in positive territory. Of course I will not at all be surprised if this drops significantly soon and more trades are taken out at breakeven; alas such is this ...

Beautifully laid out. I am simply sharing what has worked for me without much scientific/mathematical proof behind why it works as it does. I attempted to prove this and failed, but you and others have stepped in and taken the time to correct me. ...

This would be difficult, due to the fact that I really on a tight stop and so large risk:rewards are (relatively) easy to obtain. But on the H4 one would probably require something like a 20 pip stop at minimum. Fez

I agree with the fact that this isn't based on mathematics and the discussion shouldn't be based around that, however I am appreciative that my errors have been pointed out. I do not wish to give anyone false hopes, and I'm glad it has been cleared ...

These are very interesting results. I humbly apologise for my incorrect use of maths, I was not trying to fool anyone but up until today I truly believed that this would work in a random market as well. Thankyou for opening my eyes. I guess we are ...

My apologies, it seems I did. 1 - I spend perhaps 2 hours a day when I get home. 2- I only close perhaps one trade a month, if averaged out. When I used to compound aggressively and was closing out at +200 I would close out a trade once a week or ...

I guess those statistics should also hopefully put an end to the "does it actually work in practice" questions that I have seen. As demonstrated perfectly - This is no more profitable than short term trading, providing you can trade well. In the ...

This is actually a beautiful demonstration. May I ask how you calculated/backtested that? This is exactly what I said from the start - This isn't the only or even the best way to trade - it's just what worked for me because I despise requiring a ...

I think there may be a misunderstanding. My trades are automatically set to breakeven once they hit a 1:1 risk:reward. I have an ea (or a "strategy" in Jforex as it's known) that automatically sets my trades to breakeven at the desired point. ...
