Yup, that's exactly what I'm doing, but RangeBound raised a concern about the object not getting freed because DeInit() might not get called, and suggested I store a list of pointers in the DLL so it can manage the memory.

My bad . I did find a global var in an included unit. I removed that var and all is fine now - without the need for the semaphores! Again, thank you for your help.
