Stopped out. - I guess that negative news for the Euro was stronger than that support level. ^^

Hi Seysin, hi everyone. First time posting in this thread. Here goes: Buy: EUR-JPY at 120.03 SL: 119.911 (12 pips) TP: 120.279 (24 pips) Rationale: Price bounced off hourly support at 119.93 after the London open.

Great time to be short USDJPY.

Nice trade and happy birthday. Have a good weekend everyone.

Hi Strat. I hope you're well. I guess you're asking to test if I understand what a cross-pair is? Ok, I'll play along. In this particular example, EUR-JPY is a "cross" (ie a derivative) of EUR-USD and USD-JPY. Looking back, at 15:30 MT4 server ...

Fleur - To restrict the search to just this thread, use the search box top left of the screen. Strat's post here is probably what you are looking for with regards to the first hour of the London open.

The red arrow on the chart. Rejection of the Strat shadow in an uptrend. But with looming red news for USD, I didn't take it. image
- MrBumpFx replied May 10, 2018
It's pure manipulation by the market makers and that's why I prefer to stay on the sidelines before, during and shortly after red news. Trying to trade intraday in those conditions is just gambling.
- MrBumpFx replied May 10, 2018
Hi everyone. I'm staying on the sidelines for the moment. Not enough clear direction for me and too much red news on the horizon. I was tempted to go long with EUR-JPY but glad I didn't now. ^^ Thanks for the feedback, Strat. This is pretend money ...

Nice. You killed it. Great entries. When I logged on (at midday UK time), I saw the PA at the London open and nearly cried that I had missed it lol.

Hi everyone. I hope you're all well. Sorry to hear about your health problems, Fleur. I'm continuing to practise loads on the sim in the evenings, and then trying to put in practise what I've learned "live" during the day. Something I have learned ...

The sim has to support multiple timeframe charts which mine does. Each timeframe opens in a separate tab in MT4 as an offline chart and they obviously move forward in synchro. The only drawback is that if you draw a support line on the H4 chart, it ...

A trading simulator solves this problem. With a simulator, you can "forward test" historical data as though it was in realtime. I'm currently trading the EUR-JPY from 2012, for example. You can pause the action, place your S/R lines (without ...

Yeah, it was also a breakout of minor resistance. The decision to go long was also based on the strong uptrend that had started in the Asian session. But as Strat commented, ahead of red news, it wasn't really a good idea. ^^

Hi everyone. Here's a very small trade I took at the London open on Friday. I exited on PASR for only +12 pips when I saw that big SS and then failure to make a HH. I didn't take any other trades after that since it was red news day and also a ...

Nice trade. The Yen was really strong today which is weird because it's a public holiday in Japan today. ^^
- MrBumpFx replied May 3, 2018
Thanks for the valuable feedback, Strat. That's a big help. I agree that thousands of hours of chart time are needed to get good at this. Thanks again.

Hello everyone. Hope you are well. Great result for Liverpool last night. Sorry to disappoint Darko if you'd thought we'd be "whining" this morning. I was trying to think of a similar joke about a successful French football club but unfortunately I ...

Yeah indeed, me too. I'm a Liverpool fan and I can't wait lol. I'm so nervous / excited. Enjoy the game.

Hi all. I hope you're well. Anyone watching the football tonight? (Real Madrid v Bayern Munich) A couple of trades today: USD-JPY Perfect uptrend that started in Asian session and I joined it at the London open. Price then tanked in congestion no ...
