    A senior White House official said the U.S. is “absolutely not” considering an interim trade deal with China. Bloomberg News reported earlier Thursday the Trump administration discussed putting together a limited trade deal that would delay and remove some China tariffs, citing five people familiar with the matter. The news had driven stocks to session highs. Stocks pared most of the gains with major indexes only little changed after the senior White House official denied the report on such an interim deal. Trump won't settle for any deal that doesn't put CN far behind the US... and the CN won't bend as they would have 20years ago... So we are pretty much in a lockdown... I like how Trump makes some deals but I think he is much more experienced in the deals when he has all/absolute power... Like when he was running real-estate (empire), I believe it was much easier to be artist in the deals.. when you threat people that in case they don't coming, you will choose different supplier... Not so with superpowers... CN sure won't bow... And if they would.. I would be even more worried.. since I would wonder "why" they did...

It has nothing to do with this news but i got surprised when i checked next Wednesday, there is anyone here to expect lowering rate .25?!!! based on what fundamental or analyzing they anticipated .25 rate cut!!! i think they have a plan to push $index up to 100. because it's clear to anyone that there won't be any rate cut in this month

The best way to look the Gold correction is too look at Gold from when it formed a low in 2016 and began the 'bear market rally' which has only just peaked 2 weeks ago. I think we'll see between $800 per ounce or quite possibly $650 per ounce... but that's probably too much for Gold bulls to fathom.

So what? That was just mean reversion nothing more and it went straight back to trend since, cleaning out almost all that 25$ up you mention in less than 2 hours. I would not bet on it turning up in a sustained manner until say circa 1442 if not lower.

Inclined to agree, and as a matter of fact suggest that what we may now think of as a correction could in fact be the procyclic swing.
