Stops don't actually function directly with market closed.. the stop order would only be filled on open at the next available price , which definitely would be way beyond what you planned..

Sorry man.. stated it last Friday before the market closed, that leaving sells over the weekend with the ongoing situation isn't advisable, especially with what we saw on Friday.. so I guess you were ready for the risk that comes with it..
It's currently trading at 4073 on perps. Who knows what it would be when the market opens

I'd add: leaving ANY position on ANY market over weekend is risky now. Personally I'm almost out of market (finally! after a few months) and will wait until Trump is out of being POTUS. Either way.

Yeah I agree with you on that. Totally valid. The market structure was literally ruined on Friday with high volatility after his release, pushing the market immediately from around 30-40 thereabouts to 80 before reversing. Which was a bad deal for shorts.. and we're likely to see more of that with all this still going on. So generally it's better to tread carefully this period or better still stay out totally.. you're on point there.
