Strait has been closed for month(s) though: where are equities and where is oil?

Plus, is it closed? Or is that just jawboning?

I had (have) been sitting short equities since the start of May awaiting a "wake up call" on incoming inflation and the realization that a near-term "deal" was fiction, at best. Markets, however, just don't care. Even the FED threat of hikes wasn't enough for a sustained derailment. 2 hours is all we got.....then v bottom and right back to highs.

The continued "hope" of a deal has driven markets higher and higher since April ....no reason to think it stops now.

There are now TWO hikes priced in (65% chance by December, 99.95% by March) and the markets remain at highs. So, if ANYTHING happens to once again decrease those odds, it would, seemingly, simply be further catalyst to the upside.

Short of massive reengagement (which is NOT in Trump's best interest this close to midterms), do we really believe back and forth Middle East will be the cause for any market downside?

I tried to call the market insane for these moves, but perhaps the insane position is to ignore the unrelenting semi (memory, via AI) market inflating this bubble more and more. With so much global capital, it doesn't have to pop any time soon. And, if AI really can do what it is projected to do (even if it takes longer than expected), then the bubble deflates slightly without ever popping and we have continuation to the upside with no bear market/crashes in sight

MU earnings this week. If it does what AVGO did, look out.....because the market isn't betting on that in the slightest.
