Let's just ignore that the $1.7 billion was to repay $400 million to Iran from decades ago, plus interest on that money. It wasn't a handout, and cash was used because Iran was banned from the international banking system.

Also ironic that Trump started a war he can't get out of that is currently costing the American taxpayer over $2 billion a day, yet we're supposed to get all fired up because $1.7 billion was repaid to Iran years ago?

The $1.7 billion was Iran's own money, frozen since 1979. A US tribunal ruled we owed it back with interest. Look up the Iran-US Claims Tribunal before throwing around insults.

But who needs facts when you can just assume and insult? No brain power required.

And a Trump supporter lecturing anyone on terrorism? That's max irony. It's only terrorism if the other guy does it, right?

That money is from a weapon deal done during the monarchy of the shah, it was for some tanks or armored vehicles that were never delivered... but this 400$ million is peanuts, assets to the central bank and Iranian companies were also seized - the total amount is speculated to be around 100 billions, excluding the interests.

But let's run with your flawed logic. That means if you support Trump, who just signed a $142B weapons deal with Saudi Arabia, a country that also executes gays and oppresses women, then you support all of that too.
