    China said on Monday (Jan 26) that a preliminary trade deal with Canada "does not target any third parties" after the United States threatened to impose 100 per cent tariffs on Canadian products if the agreement were finalised. Under the deal, announced this month, Beijing is expected to reduce tariffs on Canadian canola imports and grant Canadians visa-free travel to China. But over the weekend, the US - Canada's traditional ally - threatened to impose 100 per cent tariffs on Canadian products if the deal were to go ahead, saying it would allow China to "dump goods". Canada will never have a strong army. It will never have a strong economy. It'll always be country that gets pushed around and controlled by other countries. Canada is too liberal. Liberals create weak men.

Actually it is not about being liberal this is a big diplomatic win for USA because they never allowed any other country to have an influence on their neighbors and well whatever you might say but canada is a vassal state of the USA so is Mexico because they are completely dependent on USA and can never compete on neither economy nor military might.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the increased supply of goods lower prices for consumers? Sometimes I think the powers that be want rampant inflation to help eat away at government debt.
