Trump is and will continue to say he is using the force and power of the US military to "save" a neighboring nation from corrupt leadership and drug pushers.... just the same as when the US military was used to remove Noriega from Panama some years ago. And the day he decides to take over complete control of the USA, he will again be claiming to use the US military to save the nation from rampant corruption and drugs. He has just executed a successful "dry run".... and now the nation is forced to get used to his complete control of the use of the US military! And he knows full well the politicians in the USA are persons of weak character. Very quickly, so many of them fell in step with him. And the remainder have shown no strength of character to do anything but accept their fate under the rule of Trump and his wealthy supporters.
