White House says Trump's pardon of CZ was reviewed with 'utmost seriousness'
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao's pardon underwent standard review procedures before reaching President Donald Trump's desk for final approval, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Tuesday in a press briefing. Trump defended his decision to grant the pardon during a CBS News 60 Minutes interview on Sunday, claiming he didn't know who Zhao was and calling the prosecution a "Biden witch hunt."
