IG Becomes First UK-Listed Firm with FCA Crypto Licence; Enabling Direct Transfers for Traders
Investing and trading platform IG has been granted a cryptoasset licence by the Financial Conduct Authority. The licence allows the firm to broaden its crypto offering for customers. IG is the first UK-listed company to join the FCA’s cryptoasset register. The platform launched crypto trading in June through a partnership with FCA-registered firm Uphold. With the new licence, customers will soon be able to transfer crypto assets in and out of the IG platform and access additional features.
