ECB to hold rates as inflation stabilizes
The European Central Bank (ECB) is expected to keep key interest rates unchanged at its monetary policy meeting on Thursday. The rationale is likely to remain the same as last month, when the ECB also held rates, citing steady inflation and a "relatively favorable" direction of the Eurozone economy. The latest consumer survey showed inflation expectations are stabilizing, although growth projections are worsening. The ECB will also release its macroeconomic projections, which will go some way toward informing its next steps.
