    Canada is bracing for further tension in its trade relationship with the United States, after President Donald Trump imposed sweeping new tariffs. “This is bad news,” said former foreign affairs minister Peter MacKay in an interview with CTV News Channel Sunday. “It’s bad news for the markets. It’s bad news for many sectors on both sides of the border. … There is a lot of impetus now to try to bring this to an end.” Trump hit Canadian goods with a 35-per-cent tariff on Friday—targeting products not compliant with the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement. Canada's economic situation has been in recession and disarray for nearly a decade. Large economies like the United States cannot tolerate economic imbalances with these partners.

That is wrong, Canada has not been in recession, not counting the Covid blip growth has been steady, yeah it could be higher but that isn't a recession by any stretch of the imagination. We are building steam under Carney and as we continue to deal less with the trailerpark down south and reach out globally Canada is going to be situated very well in the not to distant future. We'll be far better off than the USA in 3/12 years I guarantee that.

I’m still waiting for this plan that the Liberals keep talking about. Recognizing Palestine as a state is a huge mistake on Canada’s part rewarding terrorist countries with millions and millions of fathers is not a good look can’t blame that one on Trump.
