“Too Late,” and the Fed, are choking out the housing market with their high rate, making it difficult for people, especially the young, to buy a house. He is truly one of my worst appointments. Sleepy Joe saw how bad he was and reappointed him anyway - And the Fed Board has done nothing to stop this “numbskull” from hurting so many people. In many ways the Board is equally to blame! The USA is Rockin’, there is VERY LOW INFLATION, and we deserve to be at 1%, saving One Trillion Dollars a year on Interest Costs. I can’t tell you how dumb Too Late is - So bad for our Country!

Bringing overnight rates doesn't imply a decrease on longer term years, particularly for +5y bonds. It may even work the other way around if it ignites thoughts of higher inflation in the long run due to mismanagement of short term rates. It would be ok to have a few cuts to maybe 3.50 but forget 1% in the near future unless we see a big recession. I expect very high volatility in financial markets after replacement of Powell. He was good at managing the expectations if nothing else.

Lol, this guy. "High rate"? Rates are historically very low. "Choking out the housing market"? No, the housing market, like all markets, needs to find its equilibrium, and this ain't it. Home prices increasing by 50-100% in 5 years while the average US household salary has increased 10% on the high end isn't sustainable. But carry on, sir.

This guy is a crazy guy. He says the opposite of what yesterday's news said... housing figures are rising, inflation, etc. And whoever doesn't, says the opposite is true, and that the rates should go down like a spoiled child.
