The US requires federal agencies to disclose their holdings of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies
The government currently owns 198,012 BTC valued at approximately $16 billion US federal agencies have until next Monday to report their holdings of Bitcoin and other digital assets to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, a White House official confirmed to journalist Eleanor Terrett. This measure is part of the executive order signed by President Donald Trump on March 6, which establishes the Strategic Reserve of Bitcoin and a Stockpile of Digital Assets.
