    Lawyers for Craig Wright, the Australian computer scientist best known for claiming to be the inventor of Bitcoin, said he will not provide any new cryptographic proof that he is Satoshi Nakamoto during his trial against Bitcoiner Hodlonaut, which kicked off in Oslo on Monday. The Norwegian trial is one of two simultaneous lawsuits centered around a series of tweets from March 2019 in which Hodlonaut expressed doubt about Wright’s claims to be Satoshi, and called him a “fraud” and a “scammer.” Hodlonaut, known in real life as Magnus Granath, initiated the suit in Norway to get a judge to rule that his ... He already proved it cryptographically, to the BBC, The Economist, Playboy, Gavin Andresen, and a few other bitcoin leaders. He also proved it in other ways, such as having a better technical understanding than anyone in the world and predicting things that no one else predicted. People want Craig to publicly move Satoshi coins as further proof, but he doesn't want to. His reasoning is complicated -- I only somewhat understand it after 100 hours of homework. Everything he does is complicated, just like you'd expect from a mad genius. Only in time will we understand Craig Wright.

Evidently in 2016 he did have the keys, but subsequently destroyed that access by stomping on a hard drive, as he's saying under oath now:

It's entirely possible Wright is Satoshi but has since lost the keys. There are tons of BTC that are lost due to lost keys. Not having the keys doesn't necessarily prove he is not Satoshi. Satoshi is either Wright or Kleiman.
