Carper then comes back to ask for the crypto compromise to be approved. Shelby says, basically, only if you take my amendment. Carper refuses, and that means this crypto language is not changing Aug 9, 2021 3:27pm

So technically it's not over... if @SenShelby changes his mind between now and the final vote on the bill (likely tomorrow morning), they could try again. That being said Shelby is known for being a pretty stubborn guy. Aug 9, 2021 3:36pm

While we are all making requests... can we put "Free Britney" in there too? That's how this works right? Everyone gets what they want in the same bill or no one gets anything?

Come to think of it.. she might be able to help our military out too.
