Now USA will accelerate the moon landing projects. The moon and in particular Mars will provide rare earths to everyone who has the technology to travel to these locations.
The era of the “rare moons” and the “rare marses”

yes every country should have a national ration or resource bank agreed. but really? we had this topic like 10 years ago when all these stocks went to the moon and they all became bankrupt. they could keep all the rare earth they want. what they going to do with a stock pile of rare earth. they need a buyer for that. they just want to flood the market with everything on the cheap. thats china economics 101

They are simply produced in China as its cheaper, plenty of deposits outside China that can be mined if the price rises. Doubt a doubling in price would move the needle much on a F35. However the story is another example of the route the Chinese communist party are taking but ultimatly China cannot feed itself, they have no fix for this and as the population demand more meat the deficit is rising

So the US is going to solve this problem by accelerating commercial space industry to prospect, mine, extract and refine Rare Earth elements from the moon and mars?
I bet that creates panic in Beijing.. Never thought of that? did they.. HaHa,
Pork?? Nah.. internationally traded commodity.. 2/3 world exports coming out of Europe.
Maybe should cut off their Coca cola supply.

when a country resource banks bankruptcy is meaningless! the wealth is still in the ground.
Banking 101 - hold the money until someone comes begging for it
(which will be needed to finance the uber mega cost of luna / martian 'extraction')

Canada and Australia also have rare earth, maybe China's is the cheapest as with all stuff. Watch out that F35's not going down one after the other at some time due to cheap rare earth.
