Because bitcoin actually worth only the money that the crypto wannabes - institutionalized or not - bet on !! And those greedy stups bet on bitcoin because other dumb idiots say it worth "something". But bitcoin is just a computer code "backed" only by illiterate dummies and crazy anarchists. So the higher it goes, the worse will fall... patience, just give it time !
