What you mean by confirms? on dax ? I have shorted DAX when Dow is strong , Dax is like a lagging indicator, it usually follows US indices as a lagging indices .

I find Dow easier to money, Dax shorts are usually choppy 65 % of the time . I am finding Dax good for grid trading because of it's noisy/choppy volatility.
