I agree don't expect the hike. However IMO there is value in buying GBP on the run up to Thursday. Purely speculating on the 20% chance of a hike is worthwhile.

It looks to me money starting to appear in Commodity Currencies betting on sanctions in Iran CAD, AUD ,NZD GBP with potential rate hike this week is the strongest currency atm (5 min measure) so will make gains. Final word with Trump.
