I'm still not happy they won't let me change my username. Anyway, I'm still learning how to use lines so I guess I should not attempt to "correct" someone's lines. But, this is my interpretation. I believe if there's no reaction to a line, then it ...

I did some backtesting with a 6 and 14 EMA with 45 minute candlesticks on the EUR/JPY. The backtesting was positive but my trades with live streaming prices gave me losses (using 30 pip stops). What I noticed was that my entry signal would end up ...

Moving average crossover systems are very slow (they lag a lot), especially if you use slow ones like 20 and 50. Doing your peak and trough analysis (looking at relative lows and highs) is a faster method of determining trend than looking at ADX.

How are you using your moving averages? I think you could always use bollinger bands to see if a price has moved far, then a trendline to fade the move.

If you look at the EUR/JPY, you'll see the yen also got weaker. So, I think that implies that the bond sale in Spain had a big impact.

I just noticed something weird while looking at charts. lol, has anyone noticed when the euro goes up, it seems to rocket while when it goes down, it can drift down slowly? That gives me the impression when it goes up, maybe some shorts are getting ...
