lever70 replied Jun 4, 2007Checking in — That setup was perfect. It does not get much better. There were cornflower trades on almost every major pair today. I hope everyone is banking pips. That's all for now. Keep up the good work.

lever70 replied Jun 1, 2007I wasn't recommending the use of the fib(bing) 89 ema. I was only asking why Sejake used that instead of my 72 ema. As he said, there is not much of a difference. Stick with the 72, because it represents exactly 3 days of price activity.

lever70 replied Jun 1, 2007There's no setup here. 24 has not crossed above 72. NFP or not, do nothing.

lever70 replied May 31, 2007Entry and exit — In my original post, I think I was pretty clear on the conditions that warrant an entry. I look for a gap between the two groups. No twisty averages, no 200 EMA in the way. Just a clean parting of the two groups and I am in. I ...

lever70 replied May 31, 2007No trade reminder — It's the day before NFP. If you're trading a USD pair, you should be flat.

lever70 replied May 31, 2007Great advice, I am of similar mind when trading this system. Proper "jaw" openings, supporteed by the reds and without the 200 EMA in the way, can yield 20+ pips on GBPUSD. That is my preferred pair to trade.

lever70 replied May 30, 2007That's just great! Why the 89 EMA, though? People like to use that because it's a fib number. In my experience, it's just a number that fibs.

lever70 replied May 30, 2007EURUSD looked lousy for an entry. It was basically trendless. In the beginning of this thread I posted regarding different kinds of entries. Somehow that post got deleted. So here we go again: image #1: On December 5th, price thrusts down below ...

lever70 replied May 26, 2007Definitely focus on only one or two pairs. This way you will learn their "personality." I like GBPUSD, but EURUSD and USDCHF are good too. If you are going to follow two pairs, I suggest that one be a non-dollar pair that does not involve the Yen. ...

lever70 replied May 22, 2007Nice trade. Your identification of support at around 1.3436 was more significant than any single indicator on your chart. As I have said repeatedly, I don't use these indicators, and having three of them on your chart is not going to give you any ...

lever70 replied May 22, 2007Zzzzzzzzzzz — This week so far has been ridiculously quiet. When there is no major news, the FX market goes to sleep as the big money stays on the sidelines. Not until Thursday do we have any potential market-moving news, so expect another day ...

lever70 replied May 18, 2007The thing is, looking for 2-3 pips on a pair which has a spread of between 2-3 pips does not make for a good r/r ratio. I wouldn't use this on cable, but on EURUSD, trading on Oanda with a 1.2 spread, or currenex with a < 1 spread. The key with ...
