Hi Orion, I was referring to a horizontal channel of the CCI threshold that created a small deadband. This would catch failed trends. There would be a channel for both the upper and lower thresholds. I like your channel, though. As I have mentioned, ...

Yes, it can be made to open on the same candle as it closed on. I thought I had seen this happen, but there was a lot to fix early on. I will fix this in Beta 7. Rick

Hi FxTradera, Those are good ideas. I think that one of the reason's Supernova has been successful is the use of multiple confirming entry/exit points. CCI works well with QQE, but the current rules we use makes it limited as a single exit criteria ...

Hi Matt, I think I have it figured out. For this example I am looking at the 3rd image in your post. If you have a short signal, the Lag logic in the EA says exit when the second Lag crosses back up from below 0.15 to above 0.15, signal the exit. ...

Hi FxTradera, You are absolutely right about not discarding indicators because of poor results. Isolating the indicators was the best way to find if each was working properly. As to performance of the individual indicators, that was secondary. One ...

Hi Matt, Thanks for those broker names! ECN/MT4 would be ideal. Also, once we get SuperNova fully featured and tested, I could port it to Ninjatrader and/or OpenQuant which would get us on MB Trading, Interactive Brokers, etc. if we want to increase ...

Next week we will go on all TF's from M5 to H4. That is why I wrote the SuperNovaStats indicator. With all those charts/platforms, the indicator will allow each tester to easily ...Supernova GBP/JPY Mini Trend Catcher

Hi Testers, Well, we got lots of good data last night. I mentioned that we might see some of the downsides in the first 2 weeks to using a single indicator for exits and we did. Most of our open trades were in good shape at the end of the US ...

Hi Newera, Not sure if this is the case you are seeing, but the PSar 2 candles requires that both candles be in the direction of the desired trend. So if you are trailing a long order, it must see 2 candles in a row both close up before it applies ...

Pipsqueaker, those are great results. I'll bet the PSar TS helps quite a bit. MM is the key to any successful system. Right now we are focusing on good entries and seeing which indicators might also provide reasonable exits. But since indicators lag ...
