RickyRudy replied May 29, 2009Yeah, so close. I’ll still take that as a win for my analysis from Sunday, especially since I also thought an upward move might start just north of 1.3900. Personally, I would put more stock in 1.4000 over 1.4050 as being a major level. I guess one ...

RickyRudy replied May 26, 2009Yup, still on the sidelines. Watching it reject 1.4000 as I type. Go baby, go, take the subway down! Yeah, I'm still looking at it the same you are. I too was tempted and I even considered running North with a 25-pip SL. But like I wrote above, I ...

RickyRudy replied May 26, 2009I'm new to this method but from what I can tell it is based off the volatility of the pair. ATR is one method used to determine volatility. From what I gather Jacko increased the stop size to account for the increased volatility created by the ...

RickyRudy replied May 26, 2009Thanks for sharing. As one of my contingency plans dictated, I was tempted to go long at 1.3950. I didn't because I thought the move was primarily pushed by the news. I thought I should play it safe. I'm still holding out that it'll come back to at ...

RickyRudy replied May 26, 2009Good catch eswgfx, I didn't realize he was using a 5-digit quote. And yes, baby pips is the place to go. I would recommend doing some demo trades as well. That way he can get the nuances of his broker/platform without the risk of losing money.

RickyRudy replied May 22, 2009lol, that was exactly the plan I crafted earlier today. I set the upper blue line in my chart early this am and was wondering if EUR would hit 1.4000. The damn thing hit the upper line right at 1.4000, shot past it, dropped below, retested and ...

RickyRudy replied May 22, 2009This strategy would've come in handy this week for those of us who went short only to then see EURUSD go on a Bull rampage. So frustrating. My only question is, let's say you put an order to go short at 1.3500 for your original trade with a 100 pip ...
