Geester replied Jan 18, 2020Here's my gold chart. I'm not showing the bull traps/reversals etc around the current price action like your image shows. I'm at V1.25. Just a heads-up really. image

Geester replied Jan 17, 2020I'm not actually trying to "figure it out" per se or "figure it out" for the sake of it. Being naturally analytical, I'm simply trying to validate my understanding of the "break" and "break-out" lines from the Martin Armstrong PDF against what I am ...

Geester replied Jan 17, 2020image My comments are on the chart image. The question is actually about the selection of the "previous low".

Geester replied Jan 17, 2020image Why is the arrow bar deemed the "previous high"? The black candle next to the shadow high is higher. Also, is there a rule that says a "previous" high or low bar/candle cannot be adjacent to the actual high/low? Hope this makes sense.

Geester replied Jan 15, 2020Just got to this and it's late but initial observation, I think the fact that the previous low wasn't actually a lower low may have been a great source of confusion for me. I'll take a longer look in the morning. Thanks for taking the time to ...

Geester replied Jan 15, 2020Perfect - that makes total sense. Did you reference the book anywhere in this thread? It might be worth a read so I stop asking stupid questions
However, thanks for the awesome information. It's slowly clicking into place in my old brain

Geester replied Jan 15, 2020Ahhhh, right - understood! This is TD logic. Does this risk factor vary per timeframe? In fact, is it user-defined or is a value specified by Mr Demark?

Geester replied Jan 15, 2020Why does the line print at that level though, relative to the 9 bar? The low of the 9 bar was much higher than the level
Thanks!Student of Socrates (SoS)

Geester replied Jan 15, 2020image I've arrowed what I believe is the 3rd bar _after_ the breakout bar. Have I selected the correct bar? Also, the 2nd arrow points to dashes that SoS has printed. Is that some kind of support level and if so, why? Edit: Also, which bar did you ...
