cyguy replied Feb 24, 2017im thinking the long term is long, every time it moves a major direciton, before it moves, there is usually a stop hunt to the opposite side.. keeping my net out to catch it at 142 and up.

cyguy replied Feb 23, 2017upon further investigation, looks like if you trade with dukascopy bank, they need at least $100000 to trade with a FIX API, wonder how much it costs for IT guys.. 100000 a year to keep it smooth?

cyguy replied Feb 23, 2017yah, I understand that, but that doesn't fully answer the question, what is considered high networth, 10 million equity? 100 million? 1 billion? 10 billion?

cyguy replied Feb 23, 2017Hey guys! today there was .3 pip slippage.. To combat slippage, I upped my tp to 6 pips instead of 5, seems to work for now! as far as gbp/jpy goes, its still meandering... Happy pips all!

cyguy replied Feb 22, 2017plus cad/jpy isn't really a "major" pair, if you trade eur/usd you don't really see crazy spikes beyond the 5pm est reset, and the occasional "fat finger" order lol

cyguy replied Feb 22, 2017what time was that trade at? fyi, I don't use oanda, have no experience with them, nor trying to support oanda, just curious because out of 5 different brokers I've used, they all have wide spreads at 5pm, and have like a 4-10 pip increase during ...

cyguy replied Feb 22, 2017well the reason I ask, is because all brokers have a finite liquidity limit. I.e. if you were trading directly with the banks with 300 lots, you would get a better fill time than a retail broker. Not that im trading that much yet, but I was curious ...

cyguy replied Feb 21, 2017Last night one of my london breakout orders was triggered and successful! Sadly though, I noticed a bit of slippage at 2.5 lots. Wasn't a lot, around .4 but perhaps it just moved really fast? Going to step up the order to 3 lots tonight, see if the ...

cyguy replied Feb 18, 2017I feel like this system could be profitable if you only play 1 side, and not both. Perhaps short if it has been really overbought, or buy if it has been an extended oversold. 1 week you may be having 300+ pips, where as the other is a wash out. But ...
