Jacko's Forex House of Pleasure and Pain

This is what I'm looking at. I think the 3740-3750 level is going to be significant. What Jacko's strategy in general is, he waits for price to go behind the 50fib by 50 pips or more. And when the price comes back to the 50fib, then he enters the ...

Hey Mike, thanks for sharing the 50 fib entry idea for pinbars, haven't heard about this earlier. It provides a great opportunity to get in the game in case the initial break of the pin doesn't work out. Also on the EUR/JPY 4hr pin it worked out ...

The 4hr pinbar off the daily PPZ on the EUR/JPY is getting my attention. Possible trend continuation. On the other side we have not seen a significant trend reversal in a while. Would love to hear opinions on it.

Backtest — I did some backtesting a while ago, forgot to post the results. I have backtested 1 May 2009 - 20 October 2009. Max drawdown during the backtest period is 10%, reached on June 11th. P/L at the end of the backtesting period +30%. ...

Nice, I got the 2nd CT trade too for 3R. I liked the round number (4500) confluence It was my first trade of the year. I have been kind of busy with other projects, that's why.

NZD/USD 4hr — First of all happy new year to all of you! It feels refreshing to be back after a 2 week break. This pair got my attention, I like the location somewhat. PPZ, TL and 4hr BEOB with divergence. But I don't like the 73 area which ...

I wonder how divergence should look like on that picture. Thanks for your contributions by the way Jankone! Merry Christmas to ya'll! james16 Chart Thread

In the end what does it matter if Jim is a successful trader or not?! That should not be the question. The question should be: Am I a successful trader? If not, work your way up there and don't focus on other traders. But you would have gotten the ...
is james16 really a successful trader?

USD/JPY 4hr — I have been waiting a couple of days for price to reach this trendline. And I like what I see, we have divergence, round number (90.00) confluence and a nice pin.

Correct. 1 contract = 1000 barrels. Minimum fluctuation (0.01) = 10USD It's ranging pretty much. Whipsaw is the most likely outcome. Don't try to be a hero during these circumstances.

I took a loss here. I have not been taking lots of trades lately. That is because I ignore most of the CT setups. And most of the pinbar setups are CT setups. I only trade a CT pin with confluence like PPZ, double top/bottom and round numbers. By ...

Goob job! The interesting thing is most of us didn't get that particular kind of bar at all. Both my Alpari and Fxpro feed gave me a lot lower close, thus not qualifying it for a pinbar.

For those of you who want to go short but didn't get in yet, a nice BEOB on the 50fib. james16 Chart Thread

The Dow has come to a significant level according to the BRV material. So far a BEOB with double top and divergence. Trading a weekly chart off the 4hr doesn't feel comfortable at all. But this will be interesting to look at.

Looks to me like an interesting level to look for a short on the Dow. And there is some good divergence too.
No Brainer Trades

I lost on that too. It was a high probability trade for me with a double top, divergence and round number 5100 rejection. I'm picky with CT trades but to me there were enough reasons as stated above to trade it. But on to the next one!

Correct, which means I had to configure the same settings over and over again each time I logged on/turned on Vista. It's a widespread problem for folks with Vista. But now my 2nd monitor is linked through DVI and nothing to complain about anymore
